Overview
Our client needed a digital training solution to transform how they train their elevator and escalator technician workforce. Traditional training methods were too theoretical and lacked practical, hands-on experience — while on-the-job training remained dangerous. We were asked to create something that would allow technicians to train safely, maintain the highest quality of training, and appeal to college-age trainees.
Challenge
On-the-job training for elevator and escalator systems involves real risk of injury. Existing simulation tools were either too simplified to be effective or too expensive to scale. The platform also needed to adapt to updates in industry standards and new technologies over time.
Approach
We created a comprehensive immersive simulation covering assembly, maintenance, repair, and overhaul procedures across the entire technician curriculum. Realistic scenarios and interactive elements ensured hands-on experience without real-world risk. The simulation's adaptability allows for consistent updates to match industry standards, future-proofing the training investment.
